Workshop Policies & Rules

PUBLIC CLASS POLICIES

DEPOSIT INFO
Public Workshop Times: A $10 deposit is required to hold your spot for the class which will be credited to your final cost after you complete the pouring workshop. 

Private Reserved Workshops: The $10 deposit required to reserve your spot for the class is applied as a room rental fee. It does not apply toward the final cost of your candle the day/night of your workshop.

AGE REQUIREMENT
To ensure the safest environment while handling hot wax and fragrance oils, workshops are intended for attendees 8+ years old. Please have an adult in attendance for anyone under the age of 16.

FOOD AND DRINK
BYOB! Feel free to bring in any food and drinks (beer & wine are permitted) into the store with you. 


CANCELLATION
For cancellations made at least 48 hours (two days) in advance, refunds will be issued. If 
you need to change a workshop reservation, please contact our store directly (info@novacandleco.com) up to 48 hours prior to reschedule.

CANDLE PICK-UP
The candles you make will cure overnight and will be ready to be picked up the following business day. We ask that all candles are picked up within 1-2 weeks of completing your candle workshop. Due to high volume of classes and limited space, we will hold your candles for 30 days maximum. After 30 days, we will donate them to make room in our store. 

WORKSHOP CANDLES RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY
Because customers make their own candles during our workshops, we cannot personally control each step along the way in a workshop setting.  Therefore, we unfortunately will not return or exchange workshop candles.

PRIVATE CANDLE MAKING CLASS POLICIES:

REQUIREMENTS
Private workshops require a minimum of 6 people. We can seat 8 people, comfortably. If you have more than 8 people, we will pour candles in waves. This works well so you have time to mingle and snack while you aren't actively pouring.

If you have less than 6 people you can book seats during our public class times online for a date that works for your group.


DEPOSIT INFO
We will require an upfront payment deposit of $10 for each person in your group to reserve the space for the workshop. 
The $10 deposit for the class is applied as a room rental fee. It does not apply toward the final cost of your candle the day/night of your workshop.

DURATION
Private classes will be roughly 1.5 to 2 hours long depending on socializing time.

Due to high volume of classes and limited space, we will hold your candles for 60 days maximum. After 60 days, we will donate them to make room in our store.
