Public Candle Pouring Workshop

Public Candle Pouring Workshop

Our candle-making workshop is perfect for date night, girls night out or just a fun way to try something new! Sign up for your preferred workshop date and time below using the booking link. Our public workshops are best suited for smaller groups. If you're looking for more of a private setting and/or have a larger group, please reach out to us about booking a private pouring event!

Cost: Your cost will range from $22 - $50+ depending on which jar you choose to make your candle in.
Duration: 30 - 45 mins
Capacity: Our public workshops can seat up to 8 people per session. Depending on number of sign ups, you could potentially be pouring with other people.
Food/Drink: These sessions are centered around candle pouring, which means there’s limited time for socializing. We kindly ask that if you feel the need to bring any food or drinks, they are minimal and can be enjoyed within your scheduled time. If you’re hoping to include larger charcuterie boards, shareable bites, or a more laid-back snacking experience, please contact us about booking a private workshop.

**We have limited space and want to make sure each person has a seat. Each person making a candle needs a reservation. If you want to sign up for more than one person to pour, please fill out your own info, submit the reservation, and then fill it out again with their name/email their behalf.

Please review our workshop policies page prior to booking.

Candle Burning Tips

We want to make sure that you are going to love your Nova Candle so below you will find some helpful tips to ensure you get the best burn possible!

Be sure to burn your candle long enough to allow the soy wax to melt all the way to the edge of the jar. Once it burns out fully to the diameter, you will want to continue to let it melt down about 1/4" deep. This is called a melt pool and is key because it's the point where all of the aroma is released, allowing you to fill the room with your favorite scent.
In between burning, we recommend trimming your wick down to ~1/4" in height. You may not always have to do this but if your wicks look like they are starting to curl over or have some soot build up (also referred to as mushrooming), it's best to cut the excess off so your candle burns evenly and at a good temperature.
-
Try to keep your candle away from excessive amounts of light. Since there are no added chemicals in our candles, soy wax tends to turn yellow if exposed to too much UV or florescent lighting. It doesn't affect the scent or quality of the candle at all but will affect the appearance.
